THIS WEEKEND! Spring Cars Sharing Main Street Construction Has Started! Please Be Aware of Street Closures: The west side of Main Street between Tupper and Huron Streets will be closed to automobile traffic and parking from 12:01a Saturday, April 27th to 5a Monday, April 29th.  The east side of Main will remain open to both parking and through traffic.

Metro Rail will run regular service underground but will be shut down between Fountain Plaza and Canalside on both Saturday and Sunday. NFTA will run shuttle buses on the east side of Main Street, stopping at Metro Rail stations, between Fountain Plaza and Canalside. Click here for the Rider Alert. Metro Rail will single track on the west side of Main Street between the tunnel and Fountain Plaza so the west side of Main Street must be closed to automobile traffic.

Contractors are installing two 24 foot deep foundations for new catenary poles near Scott Street.  Metro Rail’s overhead high-voltage power lines must be pulled away from the construction equipment, requiring power to be shut down until completion.
