Step Out Buffalo’s Covid19 Merch
A special message from our friends at Step Out Buffalo:
In case you’ve lost track, it’s week 5 of Coronavirus quarantine. Somewhere around week 3, once we (the Step Out Buffalo staff) got settled into our new “Stay In, Buffalo” routine and felt we had a handle on our new editorial direction, we started thinking about how we could collaborate with Western New Yorkers to raise funds for those in need in a fun, unique way. The bottom line is that we can simply do more when we work together.
What we came up with was a limited edition apparel collection designed by local artists to benefit WNY health-related charities, and Step Out Buffalo COVID-19 Relief Merch was born. ‘Buy a shirt, give relief’.
We are thrilled to be working on this campaign with WNY artists James “YAMES” Moffitt, Casey Milbrand, and Nicole Cherry, whose work can be found on prominent street murals all over Buffalo. They each graciously donated designs to be featured on the relief apparel. Their original designs, which are available on t-shirts, crewneck sweatshirts, and hoodies, show the strength and resilience of the Buffalo community during this time and always. Each item sold will help raise money for local COVID-19 relief efforts.
100% of the profits raised through this campaign will be evenly split and donated to 5 local charities: FeedMore WNY COVID Relief Fund, Kaleida Health COVID-19 Response Fund, Catholic Health COVID-19 Caregiver Support Fund, Crisis Services, and WNY Feeds the Frontlines. It is important to note that Step Out Buffalo will not be keeping any percentage of the funds collected.
