City Wine Merchant

City Wine Merchant is having a 10% off sale on their rose this weekend! They also are offering a beautiful old vine malbec for your Memorial Day weekend! Here is a message from our friends at City Wine Merchant about their delicious wine:

Founded in 2000 by the Garcin family, owners of Clos l’Eglise (Pomerol), and Barde-Haut (Saint-Emilion), Bodega Poesia is a small 13-hectare vineyard located in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, near Cheval des Andes. With just four rows of vines and a middle row of olive trees, it looked like a Garden of Eden to Helene Garcin-Leveque, so she christened it “Poesia” (poetry in Spanish). This is pure, old vine, organically farmed Malbec, aged in large French oak barrels (50% new) for 12 months. The wine delivers layers of black raspberry, wild herbs, tobacco, and licorice. At once dense, juicy and light on its feet, it is a beautiful, fresh, complex wine that punches well above its price point.
