Excelsior Orthopaedics New Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Center

Today, Excelsior Orthopaedics opened a new physical and occupational therapy center in the City of Buffalo.

The 4,380 square-foot facility, located on the first floor of the Main Court building at 438 Main Street (formerly CVS Pharmacy), includes state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and offers comprehensive physical and occupational therapy services for patients of all ages who are either recovering from an orthopaedic surgical procedure or pursuing therapy as an alternative to surgery.

This new location augments the rehabilitation services that Excelsior has provided for more than 15 years at its medical campus on Sheridan Drive in Amherst, and its offices in East Amherst, Orchard Park and Niagara Falls.

“We see the need for more physical and occupational therapy services to serve patients in the City of Buffalo,“ said Alanna Pokorski, Excelsior’s Director of Physical & Occupational Therapy. “So many of our patients live and work in the city, and we believe it’s important for them to have convenient access to the therapy they need. Our new Downtown facility will give them that access.”

Excelsior’s Buffalo “PT/OT” team is led by Jeannethe King, PT, DPT, ATC, a talented manager with dual certifications who has been with the Excelsior Orthopaedics physical and occupational therapy team for the last five years. Stephanie Smigiera, PT, DPT, and Justine Smith, MS OTR/L round out the clinical team providing occupational therapy in the Buffalo location.

“Our team is very excited to start helping patients along their road to recovery in this beautiful new Downtown facility,” King said, “It’s a great location where patients can come to see us prior to the start their workday, during their lunch hour or as their last stop before heading home for the evening. We’ll take excellent care of them.”

The new Excelsior Orthopaedics Downtown physical and occupational therapy center’s initial hours of operation are:
Monday & Wednesday 9:30 am—6:00 pm
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 7:00 am—3:30 pm

Patients can enter the facility from either Main Street or Court Street. On street parking is available or use the Fernbach Ramp on Franklin Street.

To schedule an appointment at the new facility, patients are asked to call (716) 906-5666.
