Books for Kids Donation Drive

Now through October 15, 2021, donations of new children’s books can be made to the annual Books for Kids campaign spearheaded by Buffalo’s Project Flight, Inc. The books will go directly to local children in need in hopes of helping them build a pathway to a better future. Nearly 2.9 million donated books have been given to children, families and service organizations over the past 26 years.

Books for Kids donation bins are located in all 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries, at all Wegmans stores in Erie and Niagara Counties and at The Buffalo News, located at Washington and Scott streets in Buffalo. The Books for Kids campaign is a collaborative effort with support from The Buffalo News, Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries, WGRZ-Channel 2, Wegmans, Townsquare Media (WBLK and WYRK), Buffalo State College and Project Flight, Inc.
