Double Up Food Bucks Launches July 7th at the Downtown Country Market

Buffalo Place and the Downtown Country Market will again partner with Field & Fork Network, a NYS non-profit organization based in Western New York, to help individuals and families stretch their food budgets and access local fresh produce. Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) now available at the Downtown Country Market, Presented by M&T Bank, beginning this Thursday, July 7th through October 20th.

What is Double Up Food Bucks?

  • A statewide nutrition incentive program that provides a $1 for $1 match on all SNAP eligible purchases, up to $20 per day, providing shoppers with additional dollars to bring home local fresh fruits and veggies.
  • Double Up provides multiple benefits: it’s a win for state farmers selling more produce; a win for low-income families putting more healthy food on their tables; and a win for area businesses as more food dollars circulate in the local economy.
  • Double Up Food Bucks never expires and can be banked for future purchases.
  • Simply visit the market manager tent, swipe your EBT card and start earning free produce today!

DUFB helps increase affordability and access to fresh produce for individuals who receive SNAP/EBT/P-EBT Benefits. It also assists with direct dollars to farmers who sell at the Downtown Country Market, and ultimately strengthens our local food and agriculture economy.
