Coming up in July the Reading Park at the Central Library has the following events scheduled:
Sat, July 2, 10 am-11 am: Sensory Stay n’ Play. Ages 3-5 with caregiver. Activities and kits to take home!
Sat, July 2, 10 am-12 noon: Independence Day Celebration Summer Kickoff. Patriotic crafts and sensory play for kids. Happy 4th of July!
Fri, July 8, 9-10 am: CreativeMornings/Buffalo. Everyone is creative. Everyone is welcome.
Thu, July 14, 11 am-3 pm: Roaming Gnome Festival. Get your picture taken with Frederick Lawn Gnomested, play games, make crafts, and have fun! Presented in partnership with Erie County Department of Environment & Planning.
Fri, July 15, 1-2 pm: BPO Violin Duo Popup Concert. Expert musicians Xiaofan Liu and Clement Luu will present marvelous selections by Leclair, Prokofiev and Wieniawski.
Thu, July 21, 11 am-1 pm: Wellness on the Ramp. Information and activities to make your life better!
Sat, July 23, 2-3:30 pm: Music @ the Library presented by Sportsmen’s Americana Music Foundation features Americana favorites The Skiffle Minstrels!
Wed, July 27, 5-6 pm: Buffalo Writes Workshop with Just Buffalo Literary Center. Drop-in writing session starts with writing prompts and tips, and you’ll have the opportunity to share your work. Just come ready to write!
Sat, July 30-Sun, Aug 1: Visit the Library’s beautiful gardens as a site on Buffalo’s Garden Walk!
Sat, July 30, 1-8 pm: Colored Musicians Club Queen City Jazz Festival. Multiple musicians and types of jazz featuring headliners “Take Six” will take over Washington Street from the Library to Lafayette Square. Food trucks, vendors. Bring your chair or blanket! Please note: Clinton Street, Washington Street and Broadway surrounding the Library will be closed to traffic July 30 6 a.m.-Midnight.
