Downtown Country Market Launches September Samples: Downtown Chef Series

Buffalo Place is proud to announce a new activation at the Downtown Country Market this fall. The Downtown Chef Series: September Samples will debut Thursday, September 4th and continue weekly through September 25th. Each Thursday, a featured Downtown Buffalo chef will shop the Market, create a dish using fresh vendor ingredients, and offer 100 free bite-sized samples to Market guests between 11:30am and 1:30pm at Fountain Plaza.

This new initiative celebrates the strong connection between local farms and Buffalo’s vibrant restaurant scene. By bringing chefs into direct partnership with Market vendors, the series reinforces the Market’s role as a cornerstone of Downtown life while providing fresh inspiration for the lunch crowd.

Each week, the September Samples Series will spotlight one Downtown Buffalo chef, who will purchase fresh vendor ingredients, then prepare and distribute 100 free bite-sized samples for Market guests to enjoy. The activation will highlight the featured chef, restaurant, and vendors. The lineup includes Queen City Bistro at 42N @ The Flats on September 4th, The Bijou on September 11th, Johnny D’s on September 18th, and Graylynn Gin Bar & Bistro on September 25th. By celebrating Downtown dining and its ties to regional agriculture, the series reinforces the Market’s role as a connector in the community.
