Comedian, actor, and author Colin Quinn is a celebrated voice in American comedy, known for his sharp, insightful takes on U.S. politics and culture, dating back to his tenure as host of Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central’s Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. In recent years, he has continued to earn acclaim with projects like his HBO Max special Colin Quinn & Friends: A Parking Lot Comedy Show, a time-capsule look at standup during the early Covid-19 pandemic, and his NPR–recognized book Overstated: A Coast-to-Coast Roast of the Fifty States, praised for being both informative and entertaining. Quinn’s one-man shows, including Red State Blue State – which aired on CNN and now streams on Netflix – and earlier off-Broadway hits like The New York Story and Long Story Short, have garnered rave reviews from major publications and solidified his reputation as one of comedy’s most thoughtful and enduring commentators.
