Scene One Market Arcade 8 Grand Opening on April 22nd!

Downtown Buffalo’s entertainment scene continues to grow! The grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Scene One Market Arcade 8 at 639 Main Street, will take place on Wednesday, April 22nd at 12noon. Following the ceremony, the theater will host a reception in the lobby.

Opening day tickets are just $5, with proceeds supporting Hearts for the Homeless and Elmwood Village Association – a great way to enjoy a movie while giving back to the community. The day’s lineup includes Buffalo-connected favorites The Natural and Bruce Almighty, along with classics like The Wizard of Oz.

Starting on Thursday, April 23rd, Scene One Market Arcade 8 will feature “Michael,” the Antonio Fuqua directed biopic on the “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson. Also on deck will be “I Swear,” “Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” “Over My Dead Body,” “Fuze,” and “Lorne.” Starting on Friday, May 1st, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway star in “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” the sequel to the 2006
comedy-drama.

The theater features deluxe, heated, reclining seats in each auditorium. Concessions will include Scene One’s signature hot popcorn with real butter, along with Coca-Cola products and time-heralded snacks and candy available. Additionally, the Market Arcade 8 will also have a full bar that will open, pending license approval from the New York State LiquorAuthority.

The Market Arcade 8 screens first-run Hollywood features, in addition to independent, foreign, and classic films. Additionally, Scene One is inviting film festivals seeking a venue to host their event to consider the Market Arcade 8 as an option.
