The 11th Annual Edible Book Festival will take place at WNY Book Arts Center on Saturday, March 30th at 3p.
The international Edible Book Festival is a family-friendly event that takes place on or around April Fool’s Day (April 1st) throughout the world. This event invites participants to create edible books that are exhibited, documented, and then consumed. Creations are ranked by local celebrity judges and artist/chefs are awarded with prizes donated from local businesses. All proceeds from ticket sales, entry fees, and basket raffles go towards ongoing programming at the WNY Book Arts Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
The event will run from 3p to 6p, with judging between 3:30-4p. Prizes will be awarded and winners will be announced at approximately 4:30p in the categories of: Best Book, Best Tasting, and Most Creative. Then, eat your words! Everyone is allowed to partake in eating the exhibits after judging. Children are encouraged to enter, as we have separate categories for kids & adults!
General admission is $5 at the door ($3 for members of WNYBAC). Children under 5 are FREE. Edible Book Chefs receive two free admissions!
