The 2019 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday, March 17th on Delaware Avenue at 2p in Downtown Buffalo!
The United Irish American Association (UIAA) has elected Ryan T. Johnson as the Grand Marshal of the 2019 Saint Patrick’s day Parade. The 2019 Parade is on the actual feast day of Saint Patrick, March 17th. The day will start with Mass celebrated by Bishop Richard J. Malone and Fr. David Richards at Saint Joseph’s Cathedral at 10:30a. Parade participants will line up near the McKinley Monument and proceed north on Delaware Avenue to North Street at 2p.
Ryan Johnson is the third generation in his family to be Grand Marshal. This is a first in the many families that have worked on the Saint Patrick’s Day Parades since 1940. His late grandfather Thomas P. Johnson in 1976 and his father Garry P. Johnson in 2008 were Grand Marshals.
The theme of the parade is “Hail to Saint Patrick – God Bless America – Support our Troops and First Responders.” Click here for more information.
