Donna The Buffalo is more than a band – it’s a lifestyle built around community, activism, and roots-driven music. Since forming in 1989, the group has played thousands of shows, appeared at major festivals like Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival, and Austin City Limits, and toured alongside artists including The Dead, Del McCoury, Los Lobos, and Little Feat. Deeply committed to social impact, the band founded the Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival in 1991 as an AIDS benefit, which has grown into a beloved annual gathering for over 15,000 fans and helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for arts and education, alongside sister festivals in North Carolina and Florida and the GrassRoots Culture Camp launched in 2016.
