Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Military Park Ceremony – WNY Hispanic American Veterans Memorial for National Borinqueneers Day

On April 13, the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park will host a ceremony near the WNY Hispanic American Veterans Memorial at 10AM to honor National Borinqueneers Day. National Borinqueneers Day recognizes the bravery, service, and sacrifice of the 65th Infantry Regiment, a U.S. Army unit that consisted mostly of soldiers from Puerto Rico. They fought in World War I, World War II, and Korea, and many WNY natives served in this unit.
This outdoor event is free and open to the public. Masks and social distancing will be required.
