Wednesday, August 9th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, The City of Buffalo and the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC) will host a second Downtown Waterfront Improvement Plan Community Workshop at the Seneca One Auditorium.
The City of Buffalo has been working with public and private partners and the broader community to enhance connectivity and sense of place in Downtown, along the waterfront, and in between. This second workshop will include a presentation and interactive open house activities and will share key findings and takeaways from community and stakeholder engagement and analysis.
The City of Buffalo and BUDC will present draft vision, guiding principles and recommendations for four Big Moves:
1. Strengthening Connections to Neighborhoods and Downtown
2. Creating a Welcoming Experience at Waterfront
3. Filling the Gap at Erie Street
4. Linking to the Region (Empire State/Shoreline/Canalway Trail)
They will also gather input in response to draft recommendations and to help inform prioritization. For more information, click here.
