Eric Gales was hailed as the second coming of Jimi Hendrix when he first hit the blues circuit, was endorsed by Carlos Santana at the age of 15, and quickly earned praise from peers like Joe Bonamassa who called him, “One of the best, if not the best guitar player in the world.” Gales is infamous for his playing style: left-handed and fully upside-down (low E string towards the floor), like Albert King, but is naturally right-handed. But, what is truly impressive is his unquestionable virtuosity – a seemingly effortless mélange of Hendrix, SRV and jazzier Eric Johnson-esque licks winding around bold riffs daubed in vividly thumping tones.
“One of the best, if not the best guitar player in the world” – Joe Bonamassa
“He is absolutely incredible” – Carlos Santana
“How Eric Gales isn’t the hugest name in rock guitar is a total mystery” – Dave Navarro
“This guy could be the best player on Earth” – Mark Tremonti
