Five Points Framing LLC is a woman-owned custom frame shop specializing in innovative designs and conservation techniques operated by Chelsea Black and Abby Spindelman. The shop first opened in the Fall of 2019 in the Five Points neighborhood on the west side of Buffalo.
In July 2022, Five Points Framing relocated to 36 Broadway Street, another five point intersection, and will host a Grand Reopening Event on Friday, October 14th from 6pm to 9pm. Guests will enjoy a live musical performance by Saranaide, light refreshments, and plenty of entertainment.
Black said, “We’re overjoyed by the continued support of Buffalo’s vibrant arts community – individuals, businesses, and galleries alike – and are excited to keep growing in our new neighborhood in Downtown Buffalo. We will further build on our reputation of creative design and meticulous attention to detail as we offer a team work environment where women and people of color are pursuing a respected career in the arts and developing a craft.”
Spindelman added “In our new location at 36 Broadway, we have the capacity to do multiple design sessions simultaneously and we’ve doubled our workshop space to produce and assemble frames. With all the residential and commercial development happening in this area, we’re glad to bring our flavor of fine art and creativity to the continued revitalization of Downtown. There’s also lots of opportunity to collaborate with other creative businesses in the area!” To learn more about Five Points Framing, click here.
