Hands-on classes in the Book Arts Studio. Learn the ins & outs of letterpress printing!
Peruse WNY Book Arts Center collection of vintage metal & wood type, images (cuts) and ornaments to create a truly unique card or poster. Participants will learn the basics of hand setting type and building sound designs, paper prep & press set-up and, of course, printing on the Vandercook presses!
This is a three-part class, participants must attend all 3 dates: Tuesdays, May 4th, 11th & 18th from 6-8pm.
By participating in this Letterpress Basics Class, Members will gain the necessary skills to work in our Open Studios & continue creating.
