Melvin Seals, legendary Hammond B-3 organist and longtime member of the Jerry Garcia Band, has been a powerful force in American music for more than 30 years. Revered for his soulful, high-spirited playing, Seals helped pioneer the sound now known as “Jam Band Music,” blending blues, funk, rock, jazz, R&B and gospel into a singular style. Nicknamed “Master of the Universe” by Jerry Garcia himself, his contributions shaped an entire era of improvisational music.

With Melvin Seals & JGB, he continues that legacy alongside John Kadlecik (guitar/vocals), John-Paul McLean (bass) and Jeremy Hoenig (drums), delivering intuitive, expressive performances that change nightly. Their high-energy shows take audiences on an often-psychedelic journey of soul, spontaneity and musical mastery—keeping crowds dancing, smiling and amazed for hours.
