Richard Schindell

Richard Shindell, originally from New York and now living in Buenos Aires, is an acclaimed narrative songwriter whose work explores the human experience. A former resident of a Zen Buddhist monastery and a Paris street performer, Shindell crafts vivid, character-driven songs that expand the boundaries of storytelling in music. His most recent album, Careless, meticulously recorded over three years, showcases a richer sound with increased electric guitar work. During the pandemic, he stayed in Argentina, writing, recording, and tending to his garden. Returning to the stage for limited performances, Shindell continues to deliver songs that empathetically portray the downtrodden, the disaffected, and society’s outsiders, blending humor, politics, and deep human insight.
