The guest speaker for the evening will be Mike Vogel, a Buffalo historian and President of the Buffalo Lighthouse Association. Before Canalside, this storied piece of waterfront was the historically important Western Terminus of the Erie Canal. Mike Vogel, who authored a definitive history of The District with fellow historians Ed Patton and Paul Redding, takes a look back at the people who made this place world-famous.
The BMC Speaker Series will take place at the Honda Tent at Canalside (next to the Main Canal across from Explore & More). There will be a cash bar before and after the event. Be sure to get there early to get a great seat!
