The Kootsie Ball is Buffalo’s longest running “Creative Black Tie” gala and will take place at the Lafayette Hotel on Saturday, December 8th. The Kootsie Ball began in 1976, and is held every two years.
This year’s ball takes place at the Hotel Lafayette and both ballrooms will be open throughout the evening. Guests will enjoy live music from Nerds Gone Wild, JJ Swing, CO Jones, The Fredtown Stompers, The Abruptors, Buffalo Brass Machine, and Buffalo/Niagara Scotia Society Pipe & Drum band as well as strolling entertainers.
Fusion Dance Studio will be performing 3 floor shows, including Michale Jackson’s “Thriller.” Santa Claus and his elves will be on hand, as well as the Kootsie Fairy, a Rodney Dangerfield look-alike and more! A portion of proceeds will go to “Give For Greatness” administered by Arts Services Initiative, making grants to cultural institutions throughout the 6 counties in Western New York.
