West 22nd is an Austin-based rock band formed by friends at UT Austin, united by the goal of becoming the next great rock act. They describe their genre-blending sound as “carousel rock,” capturing a balance of chaos and cohesion that defines their music. With a breakout EP and a debut album that surpassed 1.5 million streams in its first month, they’ve quickly gained momentum through raw, autobiographical lyrics and high-energy performances. From playing ACL to selling out shows in new cities, West 22nd is building a fast-growing, deeply engaged fanbase.
