Wheatus w/ Gabrielle Sterbenz

Brendan B. Brown, founder of Wheatus, beat the odds by forming the band in New York City at 22, naming it after his father’s nickname and mother’s love of fabrics. After early success with “Teenage Dirtbag” and a stint with Columbia Records, Wheatus went independent, later experiencing a renaissance when the hit was covered by One Direction and others, leading to renewed popularity, tours, and covers by major artists.

Americana singer-songwriter Gabrielle Sterbenz, a longtime Wheatus member since 2011, grew up steeped in classic vocal influences, honed her craft in gospel and jazz, and has performed with artists like Lorde and Robbie Dupree. She continues to balance her solo career—recently touring all 48 continental states and releasing her second record—while performing with Wheatus.
