DESCRIPTION:Join HANSA Workspace on Thursday\, February 4th for the first HANSA Member and Non-Member Event: Meet our Artist-in-Residence\, Alyson O’Connor. \nHANSA will be hosting an interview-style meet and greet with Alyson as she shares her story on how she left the 9-5 life and took that leap of faith to create her own small business. Learn the ins and outs of starting and owning a business\, working with a significant other\, and much more! Alyson will encourage guests to tap into her creative side while teaching how to draw. \nAlyson O’Connor is a classically trained visual artist specializing in pen and ink illustrations and custom stationery. Originally from Buffalo\, New York\, she moved to New York City after high school to pursue a degree in illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology. A few years after graduating she moved back to Buffalo to be closer to family. Alyson worked in advertising agencies until 2010\, when she turned her side hustle into her full time job. She now runs Rust Belt Love\, a boutique design firm specializing in luxury event invitations and stationery\, with her husband\, Nick. \nNon-HANSA Members may attend the event with the purchase of a day pass\, starting at $20.
