DESCRIPTION:Join Sherry Robbins for a 3-session exploration of Joan Didion’s The Year of Magical Thinking. Each session will focus on Didion’s style\, and themes which include style as a container\, loss in all its meanings\, and how\, when\, and why we all resort to magical thinking. Lively discussion is welcome. A writing prompt will be given before each session for those who like to respond creatively. Time will be allotted for sharing that work at the end of the following session. \n\nSession 1 (April 12): Style as a container\, especially for disaster or overwhelming events. Features a visit from Kyle LoConti\, director of Irish Classical Theatre Company’s production of The Year of Magical Thinking.
