This 15–18 mile\, three-hour ride highlights historic sites\, parks\, and remnants of the canal\, while uncovering the story of Buffalo’s role as the canal’s western terminus and its lasting impact on the city and nation. Tours depart from the Longshed at Canalside and proceed mostly on trails or protected bike lanes at a moderate pace. Helmets are required\, eBikes are welcome\, and participants must be at least 14 years old. Reservations are required in advance.

The ship patrolled the Atlantic from the Arctic Circle to South America and was a fixture in the Mediterranean Sea as a Cold War flagship of the U.S. 2nd and 6th Fleet.
